Caitlin’s Confections: Dark Chocolate Coconut Milk Mousse

Sometimes, you just need a little chocolate in your life and sometimes, you need to visit Willy Wonka’s. this dessert is the perfect in-between. Rich, indulgent, smooth, and creamy chocolate mousse made with coconut cream and decadent dark chocolate. It’s so easy to whip up and perfect in small portions- ideal for a night at home when you just need a sweet fix.


3 tbsp coconut cream

1 tbsp coconut milk

8 ounces dark chocolate

1/2 c aquafaba (better know as the liquid from a can of chick peas)

1 tbsp brown sugar


In a saucepan, combine coconut cream, coconut milk, and dark chocolate. Heat on low until smooth. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

In a mixer, whip aquafaba and brown sugar until stiff peaks form.

Carefully, fold your whipped ingredients into your chocolate cream with long, smooth strokes.

Spoon your mousse mixture into containers and refrigerate for two hours. Serve with whipped coconut cream, either sweetened with maple syrup, or plain.
