I’m ready for a summer of dirt road, no GPS, trying to find your Airbnb in the pitch black adventures. Those adventures where you say “you can’t possibly fit that in the trunk” and “let’s see if the car makes it.” Those adventures where a good soundtrack is a necessity.
Playlist .04 was compiled with both highways and backroads in mind. The track “Place We Were Made” by Maisie Peters brings me back to my hometown, while “People Need a Melody” by The Head and the Heart is a bit of a punch to the gut in its honesty. Hollow Coves, a group new to me, croon a sweet melody in their song “Coastline” and Kacey Musgraves shows her song writing genius in “Wonder Woman.” It might be short and sweet, but I’ve got it on repeat.
